The world’s smallest working model is a working Z scale model of an N class train layout. It is basically a model of a model!
It is a Z scale (1:220) model of an N scale (1:160) train layout. That is the equivalent of modelling at 1:35,200.
It measures 0.2” wide. If scaled up to full size it would be 44” wide.
Made by model train enthusiast David Smith, the 1/35200 model features a five train carriage that travels on a track through a tunnel powered by a two-inch motor fitted behind the scenery
